US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will visit the Middle East region next Monday in an attempt to re-launch the peace process.
She is expected to hold meetings with the Palestinian and Israeli leaderships and exert pressure on Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu to return to negotiations.
Clinton will visit Cairo and then Jerusalem.
