Egyptian Minister of Communication and Technology Yasser el Qadi arrived here on Sunday leading a high-level delegation of the communication and information technology sector to open up new spheres of cooperation between Egypt and China.
The four-day visit comes as part of constructive relations binding the two countries which were boosted by the recent visits made by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to China in 2014 and 2015 and the Chinese president's visit to Egypt in January 2016.
The visit will include a number of meetings with Chinese government officials to boost cooperation in all fields of common interest.
The minister will also meet with a number of mega Chinese companies operating in the field of information technology and exchange of expertise with the aim of turning Egypt into a regional hub for manufacturing and exporting electronics.
