Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, US President discuss issues of common concern

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, and President Donald Trump of the United States of America, have discussed relations between the two countries, means of boosting them as well as issues of common concern.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, SPA, in a telephone call yesterday, King Salman highlighted the Kingdom's support for and welcome of the firm strategy announced by the US President towards Iran, its aggressive activities and support for terrorism in the region and the world.

SPA quoted King Salman as hailing the leadership role of the new US administration, which recognises these challenges and threats, stressing the need for concerted efforts and taking firm positions on terrorism and extremism.

President Trump expressed his appreciation for the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and stressed the US's keenness to work with its allies to achieve world security and peace
