King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King of Saudi Arabia, was named the winner of the King Faisal International Prize for Service to Islam, KFIP, for his care of the Two Holy Mosques and the Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) biography, and his constant quest to unite Arabs and Muslims to confront the difficult conditions experienced by Arab and Islamic nations.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, SPA, this came during an announcement by Prince Khalid al-Faisal bin Abdul Aziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Province, Chairman of KFIP, in the 39th session of the KFIP award.
