Defense Minister Sedqi Sobhi left here on Sunday for Moscow on a several days' official visit to Russia, according to a statement released by the Armed Forces.

The minister is accompanied by a high-profile military delegation including Minister of Military Production Mohammed el Assar.

The statement said the minister will hold a series of talks with senior Russian officials in light of the Egyptian-Russian strategic cooperation.

He will also attended the third meeting of the joint Egyptian-Russian Military Committee that will probe a number of issues in view of the partnership and military cooperation between the two countries' armed forces
