Deputy Premier Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa stressed the importance of initiatives that strengthen the culture of charity work in society.
He hailed the crucial role of Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Khalifa Award for Charity Work and important contribution to national services.
He made the statement as he attended a ceremony to hand over the Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Khalifa Award for Charity Work.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Khalifa, who delivered a speech in which he paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
He hailed HRH the Premier’s support to the award, ever since it was launched ten years ago, stressing the importance of promoting charity work and caring for the elderly.
NGOs director at the Ministry of Labour and Social Development also addressed the ceremony, expressing thanks to Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Khalifa for launching the award.
The ceremony also featured a documentary film highlighting HRH the Premier’s keenness on promoting dedicated charity work.
Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Khalifa presented the award to winners from Bahrain and abroad.
