Sergey Kiriyenko, the head of Russia's state-owned nuclear firm Rosatomalong, arrived here from London late on Wednesday.
He was welcomed by Russian Ambassador here Sergei Kirpichenko and a delegation of Egyptian officials.
In November, Egypt signed a deal with Russia to set up its first nuclear plant in Dabaa area. The plant will be also Russia's first nuclear station construction in the Arab region.
The new power plant will consist of four third-generation reactors with the aim of producing electricity.
