Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will head for Slovenia on Monday on the first visit ever by a top Egyptian diplomat.
While there, Shoukry will meet with President Borut Pahor, Prime Minister Miro Cerar and Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec, said the foreign ministry's spokesman Ahmed Abo-Zeid in a press release.
The two-day trip is part of Egypt's interest to have more world partners and to explore possible cooperation with different regional blocs.
It's meant to build on momentum emerged from Pahor's visit to Egypt in December 2016, said the spokesman.
Both sides are also keen on promote the relations and economic cooperation in the coming period, he added.
