A senior Egyptian delegation is participating in the ministerial meetings of the 13th conference of the biological diversity convention held in Mexico on December 2-17.
The delegation comprises representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs and environment along with experts in the field of biological diversity and is headed by Environment Minister Khaled Fahmi.
In a statement Sunday, the Environment Ministry said that Fahmi held several bilateral meetings with his African counterparts from South Africa, Namibia, Zambia and Ethiopia on the sidelines of the event.
The meetings took up a number of issues of mutual interest, the statement said.
Egypt is participating in the event with an exhibition on biological diversity tackling natural wealth and wild life.
