The Egyptian maritime ports passed the mandatory review by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
The purpose is to gauge compliance with shipping safety standards set by international agreements, which the IMO is charged with enforcing.
Speaking at a press conference at Alexandria Port, head of the mandatory review committee, which is affiliated to the IMO, Moain el Zo'abi said that the Egyptian bodies have successfully passed the mandatory review by the IMO.
