I pray to Allah the Almighty to rest their souls in eternal peace, to bestow patience and solace on their families and to endow the UAE, its leadership and its people with safety, peace and security," President el-Sisi wrote in the monument’s register at the end of the visit.
Wahat Al Karama Memorial was built in line with President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s vision and directives to commemorate those who sacrificed their lives while performing their national duty of raising the UAE flag high.
The site covers an area of 46,000 sq. m., and is symbolically located between the Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the General Headquarters of the UAE Armed Forces.
