Egypt's Mufti heads for Kazakhstan to attend anti-suicide conference

Egypt's Mufti Shawqi Allam left here on Tuesday heading for Astana to participate in the "Religions Against Terrorism" conference due to kick off later today. 

During his stay, Allam and his accompanying delegation will also attend an international conference at the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture in Kazakhstan's city of Almaty.

The conference is held under the title of Islamic education institutions and their role in the evaluation of intellectual deviation and is organized in collaboration with Kazakhstan.

It marks the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Egyptian university seen as a beacon of the Islamic culture in Asia.
