Egypt's Grand Mufti Shawky Allam will hold important talks with the Thai premier, foreign minister and a cluster of other senior officials in Bangkok.
Allam left for Bangkok late Monday on an official visit at an invitation from the Thai premier.
The mufti will also participate in the conference on countering terrorism and extremism.
During the conference, the mufti will review Darul Iftaa's efforts to confront extremism and terrorism.
The mufti will also give interviews to Thai and international media.
The mufti is also scheduled to hold a meeting with the Egyptian community in Thailand.
