Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan

President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay an official visit to Algeria on November 19 and 20 at the invitation of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, said Monday the Presidency of the Republic in a communiqué.
It is his first official bilateral visit abroad as president of the Republic of Turkey, said the same source.
This visit is part of “the continuing strengthening of the relations between the two countries, linked by a friendship and cooperation treaty signed in 2006,” according to the communiqué which underlines that the partnership between the two countries includes all the activity sectors and meets the satisfaction of the two sides.”
In addition to the meetings that he will hold with President Bouteflika, Erdogan will also meet with senior Algerian officials.
On the occasion of this visit, an economic forum of Algerian-Turkish businessmen will be held in the presence of President Erdogan and Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal.
Erdogan will be accompanied by a large delegation, made up of notably many ministers, parliamentarians, senior officials and businessmen.
