Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry returned home Monday from New York, where he had attended the 71st session of the UN General Assembly.
In New York, Shoukry had taken part in a coordination meeting of African foreign ministers, whose countries are members of the UN Security Council, on the sidelines of the UNGA.
He had also attended a meeting of the international quartet committee to review the Palestinian cause.
While in New York, Shourky had also held talks with his British counterpart Boris Johnson on bilateral relations and efforts to resume British flights to the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh.
