Cairo - Arab Today
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry headed for Paris on Thursday to attend the international peace conference due to open on Friday to revive the Middle East peace process.
While addressing the conference, Shoukry will underline Egypt's supportive stand for the Palestinian cause and the importance of establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
Shoukry has earlier said, during the extraordinary meeting of the Arab League, that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi launched an overture for intensifying efforts on settling the Palestinian cause with the help of the US and France, Ahmed Abu Zeid said.
