Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, participated today in the anniversary of the Armistice Day, which was organised by the Embassy of the United Kingdom in the Kingdom of Bahrain in honour of British and other allied countries’ soldiers who lost their lives during the First and Second World Wars and other conflicts.
The ceremony started with two minutes of silence, after which the Minister of Foreign Affairs placed wreaths on the memorial of the fallen soldiers of the First World War. The minister expressed sincere condolences to the United Kingdom on this occasion, which reminds the whole world of the need for joint cooperation and concerted efforts to establish peace and security, and promote coexistence in the whole world for a more prosperous future.
The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Simon Martin, expressed his appreciation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for his participation in this occasion which reflected his sincere humane feelings. He also wished the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
