Housing, Utilities and Urban Development Minister Moustafa Madboli underlined that the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) pays great attention to developing public, private and language schools.

He said also that plots of lands are allocated to build schools in the new cities especially the private and language ones in Upper Egypt to push forward development in these cities, promote new investments and provide job opportunities for various brackets.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Madboli underscored that the education minister has laid the foundation stone for the first Japanese school in New Beni Suef as part of the cooperation protocol inked between the Egyptian and Japanese governments.

New Beni Suef city has the greatest number of experimental and language schools at the level of new cities, the statement read.

For his part, NUCA Vice President Kamal Bahgat said that Osman ibn Affan experimental language school was inaugurated in New Sohag city, adding that "Tahia Misr" language schools is being built in New Qena city where Qena Governor Abdel Hamid el Hagan inspected the work progress.

In New Fayyoum city, a plot of land was allocated to build a Japanese school, the official reiterated, noting that five plots of land were also allocated to building schools according to a protocol signed between the NUCA and the Education Ministry.

The first private school in New Nobariyah city, named el Masrawya, was inaugurated, Bahgat noted.
