H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, has stressed that providing high-quality healthcare to the residents of Dubai is a top government priority.
Sheikh Hamdan’s remarks came during his inspection visit to the Emergency and Trauma Centre at Rashid Hospital. He was accompanied by Deputy Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the Secretary-General of the Dubai Executive Council, Abdullah Al Basti.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasised the importance of further enhancing the quality of healthcare in Dubai and reducing waiting periods at outpatient clinics to a minimum, in line with the healthcare development strategy outlined in Dubai Plan 2021.
On his arrival at Rashid Hospital, Sheikh Hamdan was welcomed by Chairman of the Board and Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority, Humaid Al Qutami. He was briefed on the various departments of the hospital and the healthcare services offered to the public.
Sheikh Hamdan underlined the importance of implementing a comprehensive healthcare system that meets the highest international standards. In addition, he highlighted the shared responsibility of all members of the community in raising awareness about the importance of public health, preventive care and a healthy lifestyle.
