The Vice-President of the Republic, Hassabo Mohamed Abdul-Rahman was briefed on overall situations , specially security connecting with firearms collection process , in West Darfur State.
Governor of West Darfur State, Fadl-al-Mula Al-Haga in press statements after the meeting with the Vice-President in the Republican Palace, Tuesday, underscored stability of security situations in the State and the State press ahead with carrying out the weapons collection in all State's localities.
He pointed out that the arms collection campaign began by collecting weapons of the regular forces , other regular forces-backed troops , native administration leaders and the People's Defense Forces consecutively , explaining that the collection of weapons of the rest of native administration leaders will be resumed tomorrow, Wednesday and will be followed by weapons of individuals and tribes.
The Governor noted to communal forces' wide response to the process , disclosing that the rate of crime in the State has declined , especially crimes in which firearms are used.
