Huma Abedin served as Hillary Clinton's Deputy Chief of Staff when the latter was the Secretary

As President, Hillary Clinton will appoint Huma Abedin as Secretary of State. This according to leaked e mails between Abedin, Clinton, and Clinton's former chief of staff Cheryl Mills, "Alhurra" channel reported Wednesday.

Abedin, 40, would be the first Muslim Secretary of State, and one of the youngest ever.

She would not, however, be the first foreign born Secretary of State. Henry Kissinger, 93, has that distinction, having been appointed by Richard Nixon.

Huma Mahmood Abedin, 40, served as vice chairwoman of Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign for President. Prior to that, she served as the deputy chief of staff to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton from 2009 to 2013.
