Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab

Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab arrived here on Wednesday on a three-day official visit to Italy coming from Equatorial Quinea after participating in the International Conference on Africa's Fight Against Ebola.

Mahlab will directly head for Turin City where he will meet with 15 senior officials of the Italian automobile companies to review a new strategy for the manufacturing of automobiles and their spare parts in Egypt.

He will also deliver a speech on a business forum organized by Intesa San Paolo Bank, Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) and the Italian Academy for Science.

The premier will also chair the Egyptian-Italian Business Council where he will expound the national projects which are currently under construction in Egypt, including the Suez Canal Corridor, the Gold Triangle Project (North Coast Development Project), the Furniture City in Damietta as well as means of bolstering cooperation in the small- and medium-scale projects and technical training.

Mahlab will also sign a number of memorandums of understanding between the two countries in the fields of energy, petroleum and electricity, as well as a declaration of intention on establishing a technological center to serve furniture manufacturers in the new industrial zone in Damietta city.
