U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry arrived on Saturday in Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) to discuss democracy, saw a Xinhua reporter at the airport N'djili. According to the U.S. Embassy in Kinshasa, John Kerry is encouraging the development of democracy, promoting respect for human rights and advancing peace and security. In Kinshasa, Kerry will meet the President Joseph Kabila on issue of demobilization of armed groups in the east and the democratization of the country with local elections scheduled for 2015 and 2016 for the presidential. A press briefing is scheduled for Sunday in Kinshasa in the morning where Kerry will deliver the vision of his country with respect to the organization of elections in 2016.
