US Secretary of State John Kerry arrived here Wednesday on a short visit to Egypt where he is due to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Kerry arrived on board a private plane coming from Austria.
Earlier, the official spokesman for US Department of State said the talks between Sisi and Kerry will tackle a number of bilateral and regional issues.
Kerry previously talked about the importance of Egypt in the region in addition to the importance of American-Egyptian relations, he added.
