US Secretary of State John Kerry will be in Geneva on Thursday to meet with representatives from Russia, Ukraine, and the European Union in a bid to find "a diplomatic path forward" as the standoff in eastern Ukraine intensifies. The Department of State affirmed that the US "is committed to mobilizing the international community in support of Ukraine, and helping the Ukrainian people build a stable, democratic, and prosperous country." Kerry is also expected to meet with Joint Special Representative Lakhdar Brahimi to discuss the ongoing conflict in Syria
