Sheikh Sabah al-Khaled al-Hamad

First deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah embarks Sunday on an official visit to Iraq on Sunday.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled will be heading an Arab delegation consisting of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Ahmed Ould Teguedi whose country holds the current session of the Arab League and the Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Dr. Nabil Al-Araby.
The visit comes to reaffirm decisions adopted by the Arab League aimed to show support and solidarity with the Iraqi people and government in their efforts to fight terrorism and restore security and stability in Iraq.
The Arab delegation will also discuss the latest developments in Iraq and ways to provide support for Baghdad and the Iraqi people in these critical circumstances prevailing in the region due to the repercussions of the terrorist acts that require concerted efforts through a joint Arab action to confront the phenomenon of terrorism on all fronts.
The delegation is scheduled to meet during the visit with Iraq's President Dr. Fuad Masum, Prime Minister Dr. Haider Abadi, Speaker of the House of Representatives Dr. Salim Abdullah Al-Jubouri, Deputy Prime Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari as well as a number of Iraqi officials.
