Tunisian Blogger and activist Lina Ben M'henni, better known as "Tunisian Girl" on her blog, was awarded on Thursday the Rome Prize for Peace and Human Action. At the prize awarding ceremony, held by the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Rome Mayor said that the prize was awarded to the Tunisian blogger to testify to the importance of popular movements which are capable of bringing about huge historical changes by peaceful means, and "only with the power of ideas." It is worth reminding that this prize, created in 1994, had been awarded to such important figures and organisations like Mother Theresa, Muhammad Yunus, Médecins sans frontières, Khady Keita, etc.
