Abdel Latif el Manawy has officially resigned as chairman of Al Ghad Al Arabi channel after one and a half years in the job. 

The resignation followed a recent problem triggered by billboards of the channel which conveyed Iranian and Turkish greed in the Arab region. 

"The main purpose of the channel was to act as a professional media platform ... that considers the right of the audience to know," he told MENA.

He made it clear that the channel, though with little potentials, was able to achieve that goal and made many exclusive stories.
