His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, visited the pavilions of several countries participating on the second day of the Dubai Airshow 2017.
At the start of his tour today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid viewed the new Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft that was recently deployed by Flydubai, as part of its fleet of 76-modern aircraft. The company will receive five other aircraft carriers at the end of the current year.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and his delegation were briefed on the qualities and capabilities of the new aircraft by Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai, who stated that the deployment of the planes will increase the number of flights by the company and will enhance the fleet’s efficiency in support of its commitment to adding new flights and destinations, such as to Bangkok, Prague and Zanzibar.
The Ruler of Dubai praised the developments to Flydubai’s services while stressing his support to enable it become a leading regional and international airline.
He continued his tour of the exhibition by visiting the US pavilion, which included the latest in American civil and military advancements, where he was briefed by the pavilion’s organisers about the various defence, civil and aviation technologies on display, notably various types of missiles and military aircraft. Sheikh Mohammed noted and praised the strong participation of major US companies in the show.
