Former Arab League secretary general Amr Moussa stressed the importance of major national projects, topped by the Suez Canal Development Axis.
The Suez Canal area will witness a comprehensive development in the coming period, Moussa said, citing the establishment of industrial projects, free trade markets and ship repair services in this area.
Speaking at a workshop that was organized by the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies (ECES), in cooperation with the economic reporters' branch, Moussa said Egypt faces three main problems; bureaucracy, overpopulation and terrorism.
He cited President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's word at the inauguration of the wheat harvest season in Farafra Oasis, the New Valley, in which he called for ending bureaucracy.
He called for preventing bureaucracy from hindering economic development in the country.
