A number of new UAE Ambassadors to friendly countries were sworn-in before His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, this morning.
The Ambassadors designate were, Mahash Saeed Al Hamily, Ambassador to South Africa, Noura Mohammed Abdul Hameed Jumaa, Finland, Saleh Ahmed Salem Al Suweidi, New Zealand, Salem Ahmed Salem Al Kaabi, Ukraine, Mohamed Eissa Bu Shihab Al Suweidi, Belgium, Fatima Khamis Al Mazrouei, Denmark, Hanan Khalfan Al Alili, Latvia, and Dr. Mohamed Ahmed bin Sultan Al Jaber, Kazakhstan.
Present at the swearing-in ceremony, which was held at Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi, were H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The new ambassadors pledged loyalty to the UAE and allegiance to the President, swearing to uphold the constitution and laws and put the country's interests over any other considerations while performing their diplomatic duties, displaying a high sense of honesty, integrity and confidentiality.
Sheikh Mohammed wished the ambassadors success in serving the interest of the country and its people. He called on them to adhere to work hard to preserve the reputation of the country abroad, as well as to reflect the cultural identity and national image of the UAE and its people.
The ceremony was also attended by Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs, Mohammed Ibrahim AI Shaibani, Director-General of His Highness the Ruler's Court, Government of Dubai, and Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai, along with a number of officials.
