Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will begin an official visit to Russia on Sunday.

Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Russia Faid Mustafa said Abbas will meet during the visit with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral ties.

He added that the general political situation surrounding the Palestinian issue will be the main topic on the agenda of the talks that President Abbas will hold during the visit, as well as regional and international developments.
