Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church Abune Mathias I arrived here Saturday on a six-day visit to Egypt at an invitation by Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese.
This is Abune Mathias' first visit to Egypt since he took office in 2013.
Pope Tawadros is scheduled to meet Abune Mathias at the Cathedral of St. Mark in Abbassiya later today.
