Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese left the Netherlands for Italy on Wednesday on the second leg of his papal tour.

During his visit, which began on Thursday, the Pope opened a number of churches and met with members of the Egyptian Coptic community in the country.

In Italy, he will take part in an expanded conference grouping the priests of Europe.
