Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, has held talks with the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, on ways to revive the peace process and establish a Palestinian state with the necessary guarantees to contribute to the success of peace process between the two sides.
Egyptian Presidency Official Spokesman, Ambassador Alaa Youssef, said that President el-Sisi stressed Egypt's efforts to resume negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis to reach a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue in accordance with the two-state solution and the relevant international references.
President el-Sisi paid tribute to the efforts of the US President Donald Trump in this regard, pointing out that the final and just settlement of the Palestinian issue will contribute to the creation of a new reality in the Middle East, where all the peoples of the region will enjoy stability, security and development.
The spokesman added that Netanyahu expressed appreciation for Egypt's important role in the Middle East and its efforts in fighting terrorism and establishing stability and peace in the region.
