Prince Sultan bin Salman, chairman of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), opened Alghat Museum here Wednesday. He also laid the foundation for heritage hotels in the city. After opening the museum, Prince Sultan toured its various departments and exhibits. He was accompanied by Alghat Gov. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Sudairy, and Ali Al-Ghabban, deputy chairman of SCTA for antiquities and museums. Speaking to reporters, Prince Sultan commended the contribution of Alghat people in building the museum. He disclosed plans to convert 55 houses into heritage hotels in the city. He called upon Saudi youths to visit the Kingdom\'s historic and heritage sites to know more about their history and heritage. Alghat Museum has 50 rooms and highlights the region\'s history and heritage, its social life, pre-Islamic period, Islamic period and modern era.
