Qatari Foreign Minister Khaled al-Attiyah arrived here on Sunday, the first visit to Iraq's Kurdistan region.

Attiyah was welcomed by Kurdistan's Regional Interior Minister Karim Sinjari.

Attiyah visited Baghdad in May for talks with Iraqi officials on ways to boost bilateral ties.
