Romanian Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu

The Romanian government will withdraw a decree that decriminalized certain corruption offences after it received international criticism and started widespread local protests.
The Romanian Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu stated that the decree will be repelled Sunday in an emergency meeting.
According to the controversial decree, corrupt officials will not be imprisoned unless they caused damages that exceeds 400,000 Romanian leu ($47,500).
The decree would also allow corrupt officials to avoid the law completely in certain causes.
