H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, has stressed the necessity of integrating national efforts and enhancing co-operation between all government bodies to serve the higher interest of the UAE, and help realise the aspirations of its people.
Sheikh Saud directed local authorities to co-operate with the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and The Future to develop the government's work system in the emirate.
He also asked the authorities to qualify human talent to improve government work to the highest levels and provide the best services to citizens and residents, in line with UAE Vision 2021.
This came during Sheikh Saud’s reception, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain; Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future; Ohoud bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness and Wellbeing; and Abdulla bin Touq, Director-General of the Office of the Prime Minister and Secretary-General of the UAE Cabinet.
The Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain said that the government's method of work is focused on improving its services and enhancing its performance by using innovative criteria based upon successful results.
During the meeting, the "Government Business Development Model in Umm Al Quwain" was launched, which will be implemented in collaboration between the Emirati government and the Executive Council of the emirate. The aim is to support and enhance the work of government agencies in Umm Al Qaiwain, as well as create a suitable working environment for the employees to unleash their potential through training.
It also aims to build national capacities and competencies in accordance with the 21st-century model, to enable departments to adopt best practices in institutional development, services and leadership, and to implement the government accelerator business model.
Al Gergawi said that the launch of the government business development model in the emirate of Umm Al Qaiwain reflects the vision of the leadership of the UAE through joining efforts, team work and creating a national culture to improve performance.
"This co-operation between the federal government and the government of Umm Al Qaiwain is one of the outcomes of the first session of the UAE government's annual meetings held in the capital Abu Dhabi last September, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their Highnesses Crown Princes and Chairmen of Executive Councils," Al Gergawi added.
