H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, participated in the second brainstorming session for the senior leadership, as part the 11th International Summit for Best Police Applications, under the theme "Foreseeing the Future in Police Work", which took place today at the Meydan Hotel in Dubai.
H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan spoke to the meeting’s attendees and exchanged opinions about the role of encouraging members of the police to innovate and the initiatives to strengthen innovation in government sectors, including the launch of the National Strategy for Innovation to achieve the government’s Vision 2021.
The brainstorming session was attended by Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, and an elite of international senior police leaders and a number of senior officers of the Ministry of Interior.
Major General Abdul Quddus Abdul Razak Al Obaidli, Assistant to the Commander in Chief for Quality and Excellence Matters in the Dubai Police, clarified that the international brainstorming session, which was also attended by H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, included four main topics that represent innovation, terrorism, securing international activities and traffic The workshop discussed the four main topics and their vital issues using scientific methods to arrive at effective solutions. The first topic session about innovations and smart industries was headed by Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan, Deputy Chief of Police and General Security of Dubai, with the participation of Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police; Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Acting Assistant Under-Secretary of the UAE Ministry of Interior for Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Affairs; Major General Mohammed Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Acting Assistant Under-Secretary of Resources and Support Services, Major General Mohammed bin Ghanim, Commander in Chief for Fujairah Police; and Major General Abdulrahman Mohammad Rafi, Assistant to the Commander in Chief for Community Service and Equipment at Dubai Police, and a number of the officers of the interior and international experts in the field of police work.
The second session was headed by Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander in Chief of Dubai Police, which discussed the subject of securing international activities, including the country’s hosting of the International Expo 2020.
The fourth topic was headed by Major General Mohamed Saif Al Zafin, Assistant to the Commander in Chief for Operations of Dubai Police. It discussed traffic congestion and the problems it causes that affect the economies of countries and the guaranteeing of road security.
