Prime Minister-designate Tammam Salam, confirmed on Thursday before noon, after meeting with President Michel Sleiman at Baabda Palace, that he would not give up his task as long as the people support him in the Cabinet formation. \"Efforts continue because I am responsible for this designation, but when I feel that this matter has become a burden to the country and its people, then I will take the appropriate position,\" he asserted. \"The Cabinet formation requires a big follow up away from media to ensure the requirements of success,\" Salam stressed, blaming the concerned forces for setting preconditions and obstacles which impede the formation process. \"Yes, as long as the political forces have not agreed it will be difficult to meet with us to form the Cabinet which we have been expecting for 5 months,\" Salam added. He pointed out that he continued his efforts despite the preconditions, in cooperation with Sleiman. Salam said that he would be in favor of the formation of a real Cabinet but not with the de facto government, stressing that dialogue would be needed to resolve the country\'s issues, calling on the concerned sides to have serious intentions to form the Cabinet.
