His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday attended an operetta titled Dream of Glory, which was performed by students from Ministry of Education schools and a number of Emirati artists. Prior to the start of the operetta, which was held under the patronage of Shaikh Mohammad, Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Quttami, Minister of Education said that the operetta centres around the development achieved by the UAE since the Union was established 40 years ago by Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan to make the UAE a leading country with its achievements and prosperity, a march that is continued by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Shaikh Mohammad, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the UAE. The introduction of the play was an extract from a poem written by Shaikh Mohammad, poetry used in the play were written by Ali Al Khawar and recited by Abdullah Al Junaibi. The script was written Esmail Abdullah. It was directed by Mohammad Al Amiri. The narration was performed by Ahmad Al Jasmi, and the music was composed by Khalid Nasser. The operetta’s songs were performed by Emirati artists Fayez Al Saeed, Jasem Mohammad, and Aryam. Al Quttami said that the operetta was successful thanks to collaborative efforts and thanks to the massive contributions and role played by Al Owais and ministry’s employees.Noble national sentiments Shaikh Mohammad said that he was very pleased with the performances, and expressed his thanks for the noble national sentiments shown by the performers, and contributors such as teachers, schools, artists, the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Community Development. He congratulated Al Owais and Al Quttami on the operetta’s success. “It was a beautiful and excellent national performance, which was a result of joint efforts and collaborative work that I congratulate you for. I also congratulate the youth, Emirati artists and children that participated,” said Shaikh Mohammad.
