H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, issued an Emiri Decree on the establishment of the Sharjah Social Security Fund, SSSF.

Under this Decree, the SSSF is established as a public institution with an independent budget in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The institution enjoys the legal personality and the full legal capacity to act in its affairs and has financial and administrative independence.

The Decree stipulates that a law shall be issued to regulate the objectives, and powers of the institution.

This Decree shall come into force as from the date of its issuance, and the concerned parties shall implement it in its respective fields and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
