H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, received a response to his speech on Sunday at the opening of the second ordinary session of the ninth Legislative Chapter of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC).

This response was delivered when the Sharjah Ruler received, in his office, Khawla Al Mulla, Chairwoman of the SCC, the members of SCC, and members of the committee in charge of preparing the response to the speech.

During the meeting, the Sharjah Ruler stressed the importance of the role of the SCC in supporting the overall development plans, and in backing the emirate's government in decision-making through discussion of legislation, policies and by putting forward various topics that serve the community and communicate voices and observations of citizens to the government.

Also, Sheikh Sultan was briefed on efforts of the SCC members to put forward the most important topics that serve the citizens and residents in the emirate.
