Ceremony of the 10th International Dragon Award Meeting

Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, attended this evening the inauguration ceremony of the 10th International Dragon Award Meeting (2015 IDA Annual Meeting).

The event, which will run from August 22nd to August 25th at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), was attended by Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of the DTCM and CEO of the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), and Chang Hua, the Ambassador of China to the UAE and other dignitaries.

The ceremony commenced with the playing of national anthem. Then followed with the screening of the short documentary film about the Emirate of Dubai, International Dragon Award, and displaying of the photos of winners since the inception of the award. The event is being held for the first time in the region.

Richard Wu, the Chairman of the Congress said, "The reason to choose Dubai is not only because it is one of the most attractive tourism destinations, but also has a state-of-the-art business and convention centre which is equipped with the latest facilities. There is confidence that Dubai's accessibility in terms of airlift; the number of well-designed hotels and the highest quality service standards will make the 2015 IDA Annual Meeting a successful business event."

He thanked Sheikh Maktoum for gracing the inauguration ceremony. He also thanked the audience for attendance.

Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism & Commerce Marketing, welcomed the attendees and those behind the award, thanking them for choosing Dubai as the headquarters for the awarding of International Dragon Award 2015, and added that Dubai has all the ingredients to host various events and conferences, thanks to the vision of its wise and ambitious leadership.

The IDA Annual Meeting 2015 does not only bring thousands of delegates to Dubai, but also helps to extend its image influence in the International Chinese Insurance Industry as world's most recommended convention and tourism destination.
