HE demanded empowering women to prove their existence and not to underestimate their potentials. Effective participation of women requires developing their capacities and potentials to possess strength attributes of knowledge, self- confidence, group work and openness to the outer world; all of which could enable them to make an effective change in their societies. The Arab Businesswomen's Council has been working on empowering women economically, the top goal of the council's agenda,  Al Sabah pointed out. She called for directing more attention to the support of women economic role via qualifying and training them socially and professionally in order to assume remarkable positions in the society. She stressed as well on the necessity of finding a proper mechanism for fair distribution of job opportunities, a process that needs both legal principles and procedural structures that would secure women rights as well as the role of community organizations responsible for defending them.
