President Abdelfatah al-Sisi

A new chapter of Kuwaiti-Egyptian relations will be written next Monday when President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi arrives here on an official visit which will include a meeting with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah
Al-Sisi's visit to Kuwait is the first since his inauguration as President last June. Both leaderships are looking forward to further expanding relations on all possible domains.
Discussions on regional and international developments are expected to be including in the meeting between His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad and President Al-Sisi.
The relations between the two Arab nations have always been strong and such fact was evident in Kuwait's support to Egypt during the 1967 and 1973 wars against Israel.
Egypt returned the favor to Kuwait in 1990 during the Iraqi invasion through its stern support of the Kuwaiti right to liberate its land from the aggressors.
More recently, His Highness the Amir's participation in Al-Sisi's inauguration and Al-Sisi's visit to Kuwait in 2013 as interim President was a clear indication of the two nation's strong political ties.
The relations on the economic, financial, and commercial levels have also been strong with several agreements signed between the two nations since 1960s.
Kuwait also showcased strong support to Egypt, granting USD one billion last November to help the fellow Arab country to overcome its critical economic situation.
Commercial exchange between Egypt and Kuwait have also reached around USD 405 million in recent years.
