President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi left here on Wednesday for Nicosia on an official visit to Cyprus on the first leg of a European tour that will take him also to Spain.

In Nicosia, Sisi will meet with his Cypriot counterpart Nicos Anastasiades and Greek Premier Alexis Tsipras separately and then the three leaders are to hold a tripartite summit that will be followed by expanded talks in the presence of delegations from the three countries.

After Cyprus, Sisi will leave for Madrid on a visit at an invitation from Spanish King Felipe VI.

Sisi will hold tete-a-tete talks with the Spanish monarch and will later meet with Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy.

Expanded talks will be held between the two sides in the presence of delegations from both countries.

A number of bilateral agreements are expected to clinched during Sisi's visit to Spain.

Spanish King Felipe VI will host a luncheon in honor of the Egyptian president in the presence of the Spanish premier.

Sisi is scheduled to meet with chairmen of 15 Spanish companies in the presence of the Spanish economy minister.

The Egyptian president is accompanied by a high-profile delegation including the ministers of foreign affairs, transport, investment, electricity and Head of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish.
