South Korea’s top national security adviser

South Korea’s top national security adviser could visit China next month after his visit to the United States this month.
Seoul and Beijing are discussing Kim Kwan-jin’s possible visit to China ahead of the APEC Summit slated to be held in Beijing in early November.
If Kim visits China, he is likely to meet State Councilor Yang Jiechi and other Chinese officials to discuss issues such as North Korea’s participation in the stalled six-party talks, according to Korea’s (KBS WORLD) website.
Kim is scheduled to visit the U.S. during the Chuseok thanksgiving holiday next week, and meet US National Security Adviser Susan Rice to discuss joint security issues.
