Sudanese President Omar Hassan Bashir is in a good health and is recovering from a knee operation he underwent, his media secretary said. Bashir is following up the developments in Sudan through reports by the vice president Sayed Ahmed said in press statements. Bashir left hospital in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, a day after a small successful knee operation, according to Sudanese media. It was the second operation this year for Bashir, 68, who has ruled Sudan for 23 years since taking power in a bloodless 1989 coup. In August, he had surgery on his vocal cords in Qatar.
